Here’s Week #7 of Project Life and this was my favorite week! I am starting to get into the groove for 2012 and just really having fun and relaxing with it. I’m really using the “there are no rules” mantra and it made this week seem so much more fun than the “scurrying around to finish” mantra that I had used the past 2 weeks.
The big highlights of our week included a 3 day swim meet for Rebecca and Emily, surgery for Miss Samantha to get tubes in her ears, and Valentine’s Day. But despite those events, I still love celebrating the ordinary days the most.
Love having my Marta Writes journal sheets back in my 2012 album. I used them almost every week of 2011 and missed them. So simple, yet it really captures one day perfectly.
I used Page Protector F. Initially it was an accident and then I just went with it. Typically I use one A and one B page protector each week. I take a lot of vertical pictures which work perfectly with type B protectors.
I loved including more writing and more pictures with page protector F. I printed my pictures into 2 x 2 squares and then used a slightly larger square punch to create the white border. I really like the look of them.
This is how it looks with the inserts. The inserts include the girls’ swim heat sheets, in a 8.5 x 11 page protector, and my weekly card to the kids. The card is made of wood so it was fun writing on the back, as the texture was really different.
Arrows, letter stickers, office supplies… my love affair continues. This chevron bag was picked up at Melrose Vintage. It is a vintage store that has a little scrapbooking section. I bought several bags in blue, red, and green. Love.
I included a tag inside the chevron bag, with a couple more pictures of my nieces that I got to love on this weekend. Bags are perfect to use to keep some of your journaling a little more private, or to include additional lists or journaling.
Loved including my movie stubs and a picture of the movie trailer. Did this a lot in my 2011 album as well.
Here I printed off the 2 swimming photos measuring 2.5 wide x 3.5 inches high and just paper clipped them onto a card from the Project Life Clementine Core Kit. Simple, but I really liked the look and will probably repeat in the future as time allows.
I cohosted the Valentines Party for Ben’s class. We played one of my favorite games. The kids race each other to eat the donut hanging from the ceiling (with yarn). They can’t use their arms and it was a riot to watch. Jeff was a good man and came to help me hang up the donuts and transport Rootbeer cupcakes since it was also Arizona’s 100th birthday. And of course, Ben volunteered my cupcake services.
In between the swimming events, I chatted with Jeff and the kids about making their own life lists. It was eye opening and really has affected the way I have looked at things over the past couple of days. You can read my post here about loving the bigger picture. I just journaled on a Clementine Core Kit card and attached an Amy Tangerine sticker (love those).
So there you have it. A very full Week #7 in the Meyerson home. As always, if you have any questions, please leave a comment as I do my best to respond to each and everyone. Feel free to leave your links to your project life posts below. I love to see everyone enjoying life.
