Week #4 of Project Life – I finished a little early since we left for California. I continue to finish each week and just smile. Love that feeling. A great reflection of the happenings of our family. Fewer pictures of the older 3 kids so I added some instagrams to the back of an insert.
This week was insane. I baked 289 cupcakes for our 1st annual Meyerson cupcake and lemonade stand. We were also busy shopping for clothes for our first family photo shoot and trip to the happiest place on Earth (where we are right now!). I’m so thankful that I was able to have a project that was manageable to finish before leaving on vacation. However, I love, love how this project sparks the creative side of my brain. I also feel blessed that I’m capturing our family story as I had grown tremendously tired of traditional scrapbooking. Too much time spent scrapping (and not living) and often the stories were left untold.

Becoming my weekly habits…
Stitching to make journaling lines
Including my weekly cupcake (#23 Samoas this week)
Bits of life (prescription, shopping tags, MAC lipstick box)
Weekly letters to my kids and a page ripped directly from my SMASH journal with handwritten journaling (needed to add more story to this week so I included top moments)
Handwritten journaling and some of my first instagram pictures (Just joined the instagram party)
An envelope with stitched cardboard letters at the end of each month

Hope you enjoyed week #4. Cupcake #24 is another amazing combination of chocolate and peanut butter and will be posted tomorrow.
Blessings sweet friends – Jenny

Love love love the notecard “I love you” in fingerspelling ASL….. You are truly an inspiration to everyone.
Jenny
Thanks Rachel- I found that card in the stationary section at Frances in Phoenix. Love that card, too.
Jules
Totally fabulous pages. I love the variety of techniques you are using to bring your pages alive!
Jenny
Variety is key for me in everything (crafting, exercise, life – I get bored too easily).

How do you print your photos? At home or do you send them out? How did you print your instagrams? Thanks for sharing.
Jenny
I print all my photos at home. The link to my printer is at the bottom of this post in the section “products I use” and under the tab/page “stuff I love”.
I love this Canon printer! Having a printer at home for me has proved to be an essential part of my process.
I printed my instagrams at home by pulling them into PSE and changing the DPI to 300. I will do a tutorial in the coming weeks as I’m still learning too. I do want to try to send some out to Postalpix as well. My guess is that they are a tad better quality. We’ll see.
Cami
That’s a LOT of cupcakes! What a neat opportunity.
My favorite part of the layout is the button journal card with the stitching for lines. LOVE. LOVE. LOVE.
Jenny
Thanks Cami. That was my favorite part last week and that’s why I needed to repeat it!
Lisa Muniz
I was also wondering how you print you instagrams, and I can’t find you on instagram, what is your user name?
Jenny
User name is Jennymeyerson. I have just started – I don’t even know how to follow people.
My goal is to really dig in this week and learn the program and I’ve seen tons of ways to play with them – photobooths, magnets, and in PL albums. I printed mine at home thru PSE and changing DPI to 300, but I’m going to experiment this week and will let everyone know.

Oh, Found you!
Jen Kinkade

you make me tired just reading all of this!
hope you have a great time this week!!
Jenny
Jen – the week was insane. Hope not to repeat that pace as I’m still tired.
And we are having a blast right now. Getting ready to get going to the park! Taking lots of pictures!
Kelli

Jenny
Thanks Kelli and enjoy your trip next week. My favorite part of DW is the waterparks. I loved those. Our photoshoot is tomorrow in Temecula and I’m really looking forward to it.
Taking tons of instax pictures, instagram, and video today – trying to be intentional. I’ve taken tons of pics with my 5D but want some funs ones of the park.
April
I’m so scared to try stitching on my cards…I might be awful at it or it might be addicting
great pages!

Jenny
I’ll do a video for next week to show how simple it really is. And yes… it is addicting. Consider yourself warned.
Love your pages April – great job.
Cynthia
Jenny I just love your posts! You are so down to earth and real. You are just so special. Thanks for sharing your PL, it looks awesome (I am still so amazed and impressed by the sewing you incorporate).
Jenny
I’m loving the sewing too! It’s really not that difficult. Thanks for your continued support Cynthia, I’m so enjoying this blog and the wonderful people I’m connecting with.
Lois H.
oooh… I LOVE your pages!! I can’t wait to see the next installment!
Jenny
Thanks Lois – looking forward to next week’s pages including our trip to Disney.
Molly
ooooo, i love how you used buttons as bullet points. so cute!
i had tubes in my ear as a child. i had to pop my ears 25 times a day. my parents would give me a penny for each “pop”. when they were out, i cashed in my pennies and bought my american girl doll a puppy!
Molly
not a real puppy…one from the catalog.
Jenny
Thanks Molly – I have been loving all the stitching and journaling.
Sam gets tubes in her ears next week. She’s still a little too young for pennies, but maybe M&Ms perhaps will be a good compromise. She loves those!
