Halloween is my favorite holiday of the year. I absolutely love the sheer fun and magic of the holiday.
I want to remember how Jeff helped the kids pick out their outfits this year. “No more sissy costumes, Mom!” was heard in the house.
I want to remember how my children loved getting into their characters as witches and zombies.
I want to remember having cousins to celebrate with at the last minute. Cousins are just so much fun.
I want to remember the sheer joy of having a little one for Halloween again. That feeling is why people keep having more children.
I want to remember how excited they were for each other to get into their costumes. A squeal or two was heard.
I want to remember how I was slightly scared to think that Rebecca will be in High School next year. Yikes.
I want to remember how Sam borrowed Skylar’s bumblebee costume. The curly blonde hair continues.
I want to remember how Skylar would tell the neighbors, “You have the good candy.” Gotta love the brutal honesty and no filter that autism brings with it.
I want to remember the tradition of celebrating on Wagon Wheel with good friends for the past 3 years.
I want to remember how a simple thank you makes everything worth while. And it’s cuter when it sounds like “tank ooo”.
And I want to remember this moment forever.

Awww, lovely post!
Your photo of all of them together is 110 times better than all 20 I took of my crew. Everybody was just doing their own thing. Each picture cracked me up, though because of that.

That was last year. I was feeling frazzled with 3 kids going in opposite directions and a baby who had a blow out in her diaper. You never quite know how it’s going to unfold, but I guess that is part of the beauty of it all.

So cute! I love that last photo…your photo and the caption made me get all teary.

My favorite 2 photos were the last one and the one of Emily, my younger witch, blowing on her “real eyeball”.

Love your recap. So glad that we were able to come down last minute and celebrate with you guys. It was even worth the totally exhausted kids the next morning.

I’m not gonna lie…that last picture instantly made me cry! Love it so much.

Thanks Heather. It is definitely on my top 10 list now.
