  • Seven on Saturday

I was originally going to do a Five on Friday post yesterday, but I changed my post at the last minute to listen to my heart. So today is Seven on Saturday. So these are some things that inspire me or just make me happy right now. Enjoy!

    ONE

Chalkboard Speech Bubble at the Photojojo Store!

I am obsessed with photo booths, photo props, and all the neat photo boards DIY ideas that I see around the design blogs. It is on my life list to have a photo booth in my house. I have tons of ideas if it could somehow happen. Like a 365 album of the kids for one year. Pictures in a guestbook of all the people that come over for dinner. Birthday party guests. As I said, I have TONS of ideas. Well until I can afford a photo booth or one magically appears on my doorstep, I will have to settle for buying or making things for when it arrives. How cute is this speech bubble? It just makes me smile.

    TWO

    Seeing the Everyday

I subscribed to this magazine and unfortunately let my subscription run out. I was over at my friend MaryAnn’s house yesterday and she had received her first copy. I was kicking myself as I read a couple of pages. So I just reordered. You won’t regret this subscription. Beautiful stories, poems, photography. Perfect for appreciating the small things in life and for cultivating an attitude of gratefulness.

    THREE

    1000memories.com and shoebox

I just heard about this new website and free iphone app where you can scan and upload your polaroids and old pictures to your phone and share with others. Since I have been so nostalgic lately with rediscovering some childhood photos, I’m going to spend some time uploading them to this free application and see if I can end up getting other people in my family to share their pictures and stories. Did I mention it was free? I like free.

    FOUR

    Couch to 10K

I am using this iphone app to help me get into shape. I do not enjoy running, but I get great results from it. I completed Week #4, Day #1 yesterday. It was 62 minutes long and basically alternated 2 minutes of running with 3 minutes of walking. I ran for a total of 22 minutes. I couldn’t run more than a minute a month ago. Progress friends. And this app is so worth the $4.99 that I purchased it for. I’m sure this app also comes in other versions of phones as well as it is very popular. The voice prompts tell you when to run and walk. It’s incredibly easy and you can listen to your music while the program runs as well.

    FIVE

Fujifilm INSTAX MINI 7S Camera and Film Kit (White) with 5 Twin Packs of MINI INSTAX Film

I’m in love with this camera. I love the credit card sized images it produces. The kids love the magic of seeing pictures “come to life” in front of their eyes. I love using it in my Project Life albums and letting the kids take pictures of their friends when they sleepover. I always buy extra film because it is well used in our home.

    SIX

Ezy Roller Ultimate Riding Machine -RED

Santa did very well this year. He delivered an Ezy Roller for both Emily and my niece, Hailey. And they were hits. {Even though Elf Jeff wasn’t sure they were a good idea. He has apologized to Mrs. Clause, as it was her suggestion to buy them.} It is amazing to watch the kids ride them and now the other kids are begging for them.

    SEVEN

    TableTopics Family

Since implementing family dinners and family breakfasts in our home, we had discovered this game called Table Topics Family Edition. They are cards that ask questions like “Who is your best friend and why?” or “Tell me the funniest thing you have ever seen”. It has opened up many a dinner conversation and led to topics that we might not have discussed, had we not had a prompt. The Meyersons give these 6 thumbs up!

My sister will be back tomorrow for another guest post. She plans on talking about walking through some of the difficult times of my life. She spent last time recalling the embarrassing and funny stories of our childhood. You can read her last guest post here.

    Have a wonderful weekend.

Thanks! There was a 5K option but I wanted to get in around an hour of cardio a day, so that is why I went with the 10K option. Have a good night at work. The sites are terrific!
