Welcome to Day #4 of my December Daily Journal. This has become quite a big endeavor. I wasn’t expecting to be spending so much time, yet I find myself being pulled to this album at all hours (of the night) to work on it. I’m certain that I’ve adopted a new tradition. I truly find myself treasuring the season more and being more aware of my surroundings through this journaling, photo taking, and storytelling process.
Layout #1 – I included the insert from the day #4 advent box which was to decorate the house for Christmas. I continued with the 4 start theme and used 4 stars on the bottom of the second bag and attached with mini brads. I was taking pictures of the decorations and ornaments and noticed my shadow in the picture. I told Emily, who was helping me decorate the tree. So she jumped behind me and I snapped a picture. I really loved this picture and it was by pure accident.
Layout #2- Enlarged a picture again of an ornament and was playing around with capturing the colors of the twinkle lights. Enjoyed the color and the blur. On the opposite page, I took a picture with my cell phone of the stained glass windows at a church we attended. I loved the rays of light that were coming from these windows while we were singing a song from Michael W. Smith. Included in my journaling was the words to the song. When we got to a part in the song talking about “shining in the LIGHT of Your glory”, I got shivers while looking at these windows. I’m not an overly superstitious person or a coincidence person, but I was moved.
I planned on writing around the frame of the picture above with a white pen, but alas it ran out of ink. I will add that later for sure. I plan to write to Him.
I think what I have loved the most, is how I start with an idea in mind for the day and often it changes. I thought that the pictures today would be centered around the kids decorating the tree, but as life happened, a different path was chosen. Plain awesome.

Pardon my going between my camera and using my scanner. I’m trying to learn the best way to get the images to you. Scanner vs camera. Verdict is still out in my book. If you have an opinion, please feel free to share. Still in learning mode – actually I will always be, I suppose.
Blessings sweet friends. Life is good. – Jenny

Love how you used the transparent stars on your page.

Thank you! I’m addicted to transparent hearts, stars, numbers, and letters. If they go out of style, I will be in trouble for sure!
